Verizon FiOS has expanded their Entertainment on Demand offerings by partnering with International Media Distribution (IMD) and ABS-CBN International, a major Filipino news and entertainment multimedia company based in the U.S. and Manila. Subscribers can access Filipino Movies on Demand as an a la carte option, which makes it convenient for customers who don’t want set packages.
FiOS customers can order The Filipino Channel (TFC), as well as its companion VOD service, which provides unlimited access to a variety of programming by ABS-CBN. With Filipino Movies on Demand, Filipino movie titles can be ordered individually. Four titles are offered each month, with two new ones to be added every month.
“Filipinos love Tagalog movies as these remind them of home, so we always find ways and means by which we can make worthwhile Filipino films of various genres available for them to view on demand,” noted Jun Del Rosario, ABS-CBN International’s Marketing Head for North America. “We hope that Filipino Movies On Demand will delight Verizon FiOS TV’s Filipino subscribers, whether they are TFC subscribers or not.”
